"Heal The World" in VK!

Gala for orphans
At the end of May, held a big charity event at Idun, Umeå. Behind the gala are four high school lives. - The money goes to an orphanage in Ghana, says they.
The orphanage belongs to the organization Hardt Haven and is located in K'pando in Africa Ghana. Umeå International gymnasium flies to Ghana every year and visit including the orphanage.
- What we want is help with money for medicine and food. The orphanage also want to start a farm and expand so that they can accommodate 100 children and take their own buildings. We want to help them with money and will go straight there, "says the young people.

- Folketshus allows us to be in Idun-theater for free, which actually costs 33 000 SEK for rent and Cultural Society Humlan (Bumblebee) stand as co-organizer and organizes evening the artists, "said Victoria Garcia Andersson.
- In addition, Bianco has promised to stand with shoes, Wayne's catering and Ruth.m.fl with costumes. Högtidskläder (Formal Wear) lend clothes for the gala konferencierer and Body Shop will hand out gift bags, says Mikaela Engman.

Welcome!
We are 4 students which are attending our last year at the Umeå Internationale Gymnasium. During the following year we are together going to form a youth business company, which are connected with our schoolproject under the same name.
We are going to arrange a charity gala, which will be shown at the Idun Theater on the 28:th of May. There will be two performances, which are each going to be about two hours long, including about a half an hour pause. One dayperformance and one in the evening.
Both showes will go under the name "Heal The World"
In cooperation with young people and artists within the esthetical and artistic world of culture, our will is to reach out with the message that everyone is capable to help humans in need world wide.

The Gala

Our ambitions with "Heal The World" is to hold two performances. These will continue over the course of two hours with a 15-30 minute break. This is because we in the latter performance will keep coffee sales of Wayne's Coffee in the break and, therefore, need to keep it longer. During the show, we will entertain with dance and music performances and standup comedy, and of course lectures and speeches on our end.
Given our high ambitions and desire to make a big difference for charity purpose, we are not looking for small, relatively unknown artists. Important is also to be able to add high levels of light and sound technology. In order to best implement the project, we are in great need of financial sponsorship.

During the gala evening performance, we will ask for two longer performances of Sweden's famous, national and international artists.

HardtHaven
Our aim is to help the orphanage HardtHaven in K'pando, Ghana. Children who are cared for there, have all lost their parents to HIV / AIDS and some of the children are HIV positive.
The children receive different support depending on his / her needs. They receive funding for schooling, food, and those who may need medical attention. The severely ill, may even rehabilitation of the local hospital, Margaret Marquart Hospital.
The activity also work to provide local communities and schools HIV / AIDS and health education. HardtHaven has recently begun to provide palliative care for HIV positive women, depending on their needs for food, personal care, etc. Volunteers spend time with these women, along with some of the older children in the orphanage volunteered to help.
HardtHaven provides an opportunity for volunteers from around the world to make a difference in Ghana.
The reason we chose Hardt Haven, is due to the contact our school has with the orphanage. Every year some of the UIG's (Umeå international high school) students the chance to, in the course of two weeks, visit Ghana. One of the objectives was to include visits to the orphanage.
Therefore, we know that by choosing Harderhaven ports money in safe custody and that will be used for a good cause, without ending up astray!
